Only 31% of publishers think that tablets are ideal for reading, in spite of the millions of Nooks and Kindles sold this past Christmas.

Publishers may be missing the point though.  While tablets may not be the perfect format, the way consumers are reading is changing.  eBooks are only going to become more versatile and popular.  Whether they are being read on a tablet, dead tree, phone, laptop, or some device we haven’t invented yet isn’t important.  Only the content matters.
